Welcome to the live tracking of the NOAA research ship, Oscar Elton Sette. This live trek is following the Oscar Sette as it heads north from Honolulu to the Sub Tropical Convergence Zone. The researchers on board will be looking for marine debris and testing an Unmanned Aerial System (UAS), the Resolution, 
that will be launched from the ship and fly autonomously in search of derelict fishing gear or GhostNets. Follow our track and our daily log as we are underway.
