We were on the road from Palmer by the crack of 10 AM and after quick stops for fuel for the boat and for the bodies, we made the 12:30 PM Whittier tunnel opening, launched the boat, made the 20 mile trip to Goose Bay in Culross Passage, and were skiing by 2:45 PM (15 minutes ahead of Tom's predicted schedule).

1600 vertical foot climb - initially through a dense spruce forest, then breaking out to wide open snowfields.

4" of fluff at the top transitioning to soft corn/crust in the middle to crust through the trees to sea level.

Steaks on the bbq, a movie, then lights out to fall asleep to the sound of snow falling on the deck and and dreams of an awesome day!
